![]() Overall, I think this bike is great and I see myself keeping it for a long time. I spend most of my time out of the saddle mashing uphill or descending. Most of the trails I ride are up or down with little flat area. I also read on other reviews that there is issue with the stock saddle. Edit to include photo since I know we all love to see a pic. The frame (no headset or seatpost clamp just the frame itself) weighs 5.44lbs as is. The stock tires are great for the trails I ride most often. The Monocog Flight features high quality Sanko tubing with slider dropouts, disc brakes, and improved cranks and wheels. 1 (Edited) I just picked up a 2011 Monocog Flight frame and should be starting my build soon. The wheels and hubs are decent however, it seemed that the wheels were out of true relatively quickly. Ok-its decided -Im going to take a shot at both 29ers and SS in one blow- But which Redline Monocog The Flight is Double the Price of the regular (though-the regular is very modestlly priced-as is the flight all things considered)-aside from getting mechanical disc brakes vs. I have never ridden this bike with the stock V brakes but given my rides on other bikes, disks are the way to go. We are living in a disk brake world now and I think that all mountain bikes should come standard with them. Redline is predominantly known for its long heritage in BMX racing. It also owns and operates a clothing line and five race teams. one big difference in all 3 frames is the chain tension. Then I built a Kona Kikapu Deluxe with a lot of decent components and. I ended up selling it for 250 after all was said and done. If you dont supply a size, it will read all data until it hits a newline. I had a Trek 4500 that I picked up for 75 and my buddy set me up nice with brakes, tires, saddle and a couple extras. readline(x) will read up to x bytes or a newline, whichever comes first. mountain kings have a knob width of 2.38'. I know when I switched to the flow rims they widen out a bit. I run them on my nomad with stan's flow rims. If you dont supply the size, the entire file is read. 2.35 panaracer's don't fit with stan's flow rims and 2.2 nevegals don't fit. I have no problem going over rooty and rocky sections of trail and after a few rides I stopped getting arm and shoulder pain not only because my upper body strength improved but I began to pick better lines, which is absolutely necessary on a rigid bike. Redline Bicycles is an American company offering BMX, freestyle, cyclocross, mountain (MTB), and road bicycles and components that is currently owned and operated by Regent, L.P. read(x) will read up to x bytes in a file. The BMC is not really a worthy comparison because it is not really meant for climbing. ![]() That being said, this thing is a hoot to ride! I think that I am faster on this bike than I ever was on my geared 26" hard tail Jamis Trail X3 or the BMC Super Stroke I built up. I picked up this bike as my first foray into 29ers, single speeds, and full rigid bikes. ![]()
